Growing up in a musical family, Gismo began playing guitar at the age of six, and was quickly drawn to the sounds of gypsy jazz and swing music. His father, Joschi Graf, is a member of the Zigeli Winter Quintet, and was a major influence on Gismo’s musical development.

Over the course of his career, Gismo has collaborated with a wide range of musicians, including gypsy jazz legends like Stochelo Rosenberg, Ludovic Beier, and Diknu Schneeberger, as well as jazz luminaries like Tony Lakatos, Jermaine Landsberger, Olaf Polziehn, Tim Kliphuis, and Davide Petrocca (who is also the sub double bass player for the Gismo Graf Trio).
Gismo’s playing is characterized by his technical virtuosity, his creative approach to the gypsy jazz tradition, and his ability to blend different musical styles and influences into his music. He is widely regarded as one of the most exciting and innovative guitarists on the contemporary gypsy jazz scene, and his contributions to the world of music are sure to be celebrated for many years to come.
